UOVUNIUSR0078652EXTERNALENUS Job Profile Summary A Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) Clinician 1 is an entry-level professional in the Cardiac Cath or Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, focused primarily on developing knowledge and skills. Provides safe patient care at a basic level and shows growth in ability to care for increasingly complex patients in the role of scrub and circulator in sterile cardiac procedures. Requires consultation with more experienced clinicians and benefits from feedback. UVA operates five Cardiac catheterization labs and five EP labs. Each unit operates independently of one another. The Cath lab CIS supports patients undergoing coronary angiograms, diagnostic and interventional coronary interventions, right heart catheterizations, structural heart cases, peripheral cases, ventricular support devices, and/or pediatric diagnostic and interventions cases.
