Job Overview:
The Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of community, global, and mobile health initiatives across RWJBarnabas Health. This role serves as a central point of accountability to ensure programs are implemented effectively, aligned with organizational strategy, and measured for impact. The Project Manager is responsible for standardizing workflows, managing project timelines and resources, and leading data collection, analysis, and reporting to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.This position plays a critical role in advancing RWJBH s mission to improve health outcomes, reduce disparities, and demonstrate return on investment in community and public health initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, healthcare operations, public health, or community health programming
Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a complex health system environment
Experience with data management, performance measurement, and reporting tools
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners
Knowledge of community health, public health principles, and initiatives
High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail
Preferred:
Masters degree in Public Health (MPH), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or related discipline
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred,
Experience with data management, reporting, and dashboard development strongly preferred
Additional experience within a health system, public health organization, or community-based setting, with demonstrated responsibility for managing multiple projects preferred
Essential Functions:
Support and manage community, global, and mobile health projects across facilities within RWJBarnabas Health
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within scope
Standardize and monitor processes, workflows, and reporting structures across community health programs
Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts to measure program effectiveness, outcomes, and return on investment
Develop dashboards and performance metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and support leadership decision-making
Prepare and present regular reports and updates to internal and external stakeholders
Support training, quality improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives within the department
Ensure projects are compliant with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in public and community health
