Summary
Summary
Under the direction of the Director operates EKG equipment and produces diagnostic electrocardiograms documenting electrophysiological variations of the heart muscle. Examinations performed include diagnostic EKG's, stress procedures, event monitors and Holter monitors. Responsible for assuring a high level of quality in all procedures and providing the interpreting physician with all of the necessary information in order to make an accurate diagnosis. Responsible for equal distribution of on call days among staff members.
Education
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED, preferably a science background. Must have satisfactorily completed the department training for EKG tech.
Experience
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. , 150 lbs. shared lifting. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to work weekends, and holidays.
