Overview:
Manager, Clinical Pharmacy, FT, Piedmont Columbus Midtown
Responsible for overseeing the clinical and quality programs of the specialty pharmacy, including the clinical personnel involved in these programs. Coordinates, supervises and evaluates the job performance of the Clinical Pharmacists and Advanced Practice Providers clinical activities to include hiring and terminating decisions. Coordinates/prepares interdisciplinary committee and subcommittee activities and reports with the Executive Director of Outpatient Pharmacy and Committee Chairman. Involved with System and hospital interdisciplinary committees as needed. Coordinates the publication of the specialty-based Pharmacy Newsletter. Meets with pharmaceutical representatives. Works with members of pharmacy leadership to complete any needed specialty pharmacy services. Oversees Medication Error Reporting and Adverse Drug Reaction Reporting Programs. Oversees development and implementation of clinical education for all pharmacists. Works with the executive director to maintain compliance with DNV standards. May be required to take administrative call for the specialty pharmacy. Responsible for meeting and adding new physician clinics and optimizing performance at existing partner sites. Oversees clinical initiatives for the specialty pharmacy service line
