Job Purpose

  • Assist in performing diagnostic imaging procedures across various modalities, supporting patient care, safety, and comfort
  • Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Final year of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program

Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Eligible for ARRT (R) certification upon graduation

Work Experience:

  • Clinical rotation experience through an approved educational program
  • Will be required to obtain modality-specific certifications (CT, MRI, or Mammography) within 1 year of orientation, based on assigned modality

Job Roles:

Clinical Support:

  • Assist with imaging procedures under supervision including patient positioning, equipment operation, and image acquisition
  • Verify patient identification and procedure accuracy; obtain informed consent when required
  • Provide patient education and ensure comfort throughout procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques during all patient interactions

Modality Exposure:

  • CT: Observe and assist with imaging and interventional procedures under CT guidance
  • MRI: Assist with MRI exams, patient screening, and safety protocols
  • Mammography: Support screening and diagnostic mammography procedures; prepare patients and maintain compliance with MQSA standards
