The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: The Mental Health Associate functions as a care partner with the Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to a diagnostically/developmentally specific patient population, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The MHA provides therapeutic interventions and treatments. Also, responsible for unit support activities and clerical/administrative functions as directed. Is also responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in psychology-related field OR 5 years of related experience in a psychiatric services setting BLS Certification through the American Heart Association Valid NJ Driver's license Scheduling Requirements: Day Shift (12 hour shifts) Per Diem scheduling 2 weekend days per month Holiday requirements Essential Functions: RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
