Job Description Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist (PRN) to join our hospital-based rehabilitation team. The Physical Therapist provides high-quality patient care through comprehensive evaluations and evidence-based treatment interventions in accordance with established standards of practice.

This position requires flexibility to work across various clinical settings within the Physical Therapy department while delivering individualized, patient-centered care.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans at the first scheduled appointment

  • Provide therapeutic interventions consistent with best practices and department standards

  • Deliver care across multiple hospital settings as needed

  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, daily progress notes, discharge summaries, exercise programs, and patient/family education within 24 hours of each visit

  • Educate patients and families on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safe mobility techniques

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards

Additional Job Description

Education:

  • Degree or certificate from an accredited Physical Therapy program

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current Physical Therapy license or registration in the State of South Carolina

  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Experience:

  • Prior hospital or clinical experience preferred (not required)
