Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans at the first scheduled appointment
Provide therapeutic interventions consistent with best practices and department standards
Deliver care across multiple hospital settings as needed
Document evaluations, treatment plans, daily progress notes, discharge summaries, exercise programs, and patient/family education within 24 hours of each visit
Educate patients and families on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safe mobility techniques
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards
Additional Job Description
Education:
Degree or certificate from an accredited Physical Therapy program
Licensure/Certification:
Current Physical Therapy license or registration in the State of South Carolina
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Experience:
Prior hospital or clinical experience preferred (not required)
