Job Summary

Under management's supervision, the Phlebotomy Intern will have the opportunity to participate and learn about the various duties and responsibilities of a phlebotomist. The intern will have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of healthcare and more specifically patient experience and customer/patient satisfaction through a variety of assignments, such as shadowing staff in the field, learning some specimen handling and receiving skills, attending program meetings and trainings, as well as, a variety of other tasks.

- Prefer a willingness to learn.
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of computers and commonly used applications.
- Prefer effective customer service skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of staff and the public, both in person and by telephone.

HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate


Required License and Certs


Preferred License and Certs

Class work from 0630-1500 For 5-7 days. Intern Training last 90 days, three shifts to choose from, with option to apply for a PRN position at end of training.
