A certified recreation Therapist is responsible for the delivery of services to patients within the Recreation Therapy Departments scope of service. The Recreation Therapist is responsible for assigned patient’s plan of care within the domain of Recreation Therapy. The Recreation Therapist must maintain standards of a professional therapist and must be able to provide care as described in the department’s policies and procedures. Reports to the Inpatient Therapy Supervisor.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in Therapeutic Recreation preferred
Eligible for, or currently certified as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation specialist by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation
Licensure
Recreational therapist Licensure in the state of Virginia.
