Description: The telemetry technician in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for communication of information, surveillance of arrhythmias on monitored patients, including interpreting, printing and posting telemetry strips, and facilitating effective and efficient communication in the unit. This team member is also responsible providing patient care as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) and will perform clerical duties such as registration functions to aid in the efficient operations of the unit. Must be computer proficient and work in an efficient and organized manner. Performs other duties under the direction of a registered nurse as assigned including, but not limited to, PCT and clerical duties. ICU Telemetry Technicians work in the ICU, monitoring patients in the unit while also providing care to patients in the role of PCT.
