Overview Job Summary Performs duties that supports the efficient workflow of the laboratory. Duties include obtaining patient specimens via venipuncture or micro method. Essential Responsibilities Collects and/or processes patient blood obtained by venipuncture and/or capillary puncture in a timely and accurate fashion Use of vacutainer tube, butterflies, syringes, and needle for drawing blood. Overview Job Summary Draws blood specimens by either venipuncture or micro method. Assesses and collects laboratory specimens according to test request and promptly delivers specimens to the appropriate laboratory department. Essential Functions Uses laboratory information system to remove, assess and collect laboratory specimens according to test requisition.
