Description Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager and Section Supervisors, the Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist is recognized as the technical subject matter expert in all areas of the laboratory services; at the Mission Viejo and/or Laguna Beach hospital campuses. The Lead CLS works independently, accepts responsibility for special projects, and participates in quality assurance functions. The Lead CLS demonstrates expertise in performing laboratory testing in all areas of the Core Laboratory and/or Microbiology. The Lead CLS oversees the day-to-day operation of the Laboratory Sections, and supports leadership with the implementation of new processes and procedures, to help maximize the efficiency and quality of Laboratory operations.
