Description
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. CLS personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Coursework/Training: 16 semesters or equivalent quarter units of chemistry, which must include clinical chemistry, OR analytical chemistry
Coursework/Training: 18 semester or equivalent quarter units of biology, which must include hematology, immunology, and medical microbiology
