The END Tech II job performs routine electroneurodiagnostic
procedures using established protocols and procedures in a clinical lab, inpatient and epilepsy unit setting including EEG, AEEG, and EMU. The specialty procedures performed are Polysomnogram, Wada Testing, EP, NCV testing, as well as intraoperative monitoring of EEG, EP, EMG and NCV procedures. This position also serves as the technical resource for the END Tech I.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:
American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic
and Evoke Potential Technologist (ABRET) registry in at least one (1) AMA approved electroneurodiagnostic
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
Current ABRET, AAET or AANEM registry in one (1) AMA approved electroneurodiagnostic
field Current CPR certification
Minimum of 1 year of basic medical, patient care related experience
Experience and proficiency in two (2) electroneurodiagnostic
modalities (e.g. EEG, AEEG, EMU, Polysomnogram, etc.)
Two or more years of work experience in electroneurodiagnostic
High School Diploma or equivalent
Graduate of Electroneurodiagnostic
Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program
Independent action(s) required:
Takes initiative to acquire and maintain knowledge base.
Participates in conferences and technical training.
Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A
Additional position requirements: Weekends and holiday coverage for the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and STAT EEG procedures.
