Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Temporary Transporter (Per Diem,Variable Shift) to work in the Central Dispatch And Transport at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Transporter is responsible for the efficient and timely movement of patients as directed and other duties assigned by the manager or designee.

In this position you will:

  • Transfer of patients into and out of transport vehicle (wheelchair, stretcher bed) and movement of patients as directed.
  • Perform Transport duties in a courteous, polite and professional manner within prescribed time constraints. Assists with positioning patient and directs patient requests to appropriate staff members.
  • Follow established guidelines in emergency situations, infection control and all safety issues. Receive directions from managers or designee or patient care providers.
  • Maintain patient right to privacy. Respects the rights of the patient, family and other caregivers. Handle all patient information as confidential.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to meet patient care goals. Recognizes and communicates the need for assistance with assigned workloads. Seek help with problem solving when needed.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).
  • Demonstrated flexibility and organization to prioritize and complete multiple task

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience in patient care
