Swedish Edmonds is looking for CT (Computed Tomography) Technologist (0.01 FTE, Varaible Shift) to work in CT Scanning at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.

Performs a variety of technical and patient care procedures utilizing a multi-slide CT scanner on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and adult patients. Utilizes power injectors and monitoring equipment. Produces radiographic diagnostic quality for these examinations as prescribed by department protocols.

In this position you will:

  • Perform CT procedures on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients according to department protocol and discuss procedures with the Radiologist to achieve optimum diagnosis.
  • Reconstruct or scan images in a timely manner to provide accurate avenues for diagnosis.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of human anatomy to satisfactorily allow optimum positioning of patients for imaging procedure. Perform procedure in a manner which allows patients to be comfortable, both physically and emotionally.
  • Accurately prepare, dispense, and administer (by injection, orally or rectally) all x-ray contrast in use in CT.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of radiation safety, use of protective devices and application of universal precaution techniques.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Successful completion of a program in Radiologic Technology as accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • One (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Current Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • CT experience
  • Board registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required, with Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography
