Vidant Chowan Hospital is a modern 25 bed critical access facility located in historic Edenton, North Carolina, and provides services and programs to 45,000 people in 4 counties. Vidant Chowan Hospital's partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region, and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Position Summary

Performs and assist with semi-skilled maintenance tasks in the repair to building systems, facilities infrastructure, hospitals grounds to include related equipment and machinery. Handles multiple tasks and prioritizes work assignments as it pertains to repair or maintenance of machines, equipment, plumbing, electrical, heating or air-conditioning systems. Required to be available for On Call duty on a rotating basis.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent (GED) or higher
  • Three to four years related experience
  • Valid Driver's license

Other Information

  • Part-time position without benefits
  • Will work as needed to cover staff who are on vacation or sick leave
  • Department hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
