Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Clinical Competency Registered Nurse (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Clinical Education And Safety at Swedish Campus in Seattle, WA.

The Clinical Competency RN is responsible for ensuring that training and competency measurements are implemented so that care is provided in accordance with ambulatory care policies and procedures, established standards of nursing care and practice, and state and federal regulations. Acts as a leader to ensure the mission and goals of the organization are met.

In this position you will:

  • Coordinates, plans, and maintains New Caregiver Experience for clinical caregivers.
  • Collaborates with Core Leaders and Operational Leaders on New Caregiver training and assists in hiring new employees and coordinating subsequent training and orientation programs
  • Ensure that clinics and care are in compliance with all state and regulatory agencies; communicate appropriate action to correct or enhance care when warranted
  • Communicate revisions and/or new information to clinic personnel in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that Infection Control/Exposure Plans are understood and followed by staff
  • Ensure that clinical policies and procedures are formulated, standardized, and distributed to all clinics
  • Ensure that clinics and care are in compliance with all state and regulatory agencies; initiate appropriate action to correct or enhance care when warranted

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 3 years experience and Or equivalent educ/experience
  • Current Washington State RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree
  • Teaching degree or equivalent
  • Two (2) years Ambulatory care and/or medical group practice setting experience.
  • Three (3) years progressively more responsible related work experience, with at least two years outpatient clinic experience preferred.
