Job Description

We are looking for an Echocardiogram Technologist for the Echocardiology Department at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Work Schedule: On call/Per diem

Shift: 8 hour, Days (Variable)

Job Summary:

The Echo technologist is an individual who performs cardiac ultrasound diagnostic procedures as ordered by a staff physician with minimal supervision from the Imaging Management team.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares and directs patients of all ages with necessary instructions for examinations.
  • Conducts patient examinations on patients of all ages to produce optimal images.
  • Performs quality control procedures on equipment in accordance to established procedures and document results.
  • Perform/support treadmill testing.
  • Maintains accurate patient records necessary for efficient department operation.
  • Demonstrates skills in patient care pertinent to cardiac ultrasound.

  • Excellent knowledge of the human anatomy.
  • Good skills in communication and patient rapport.
  • Teamwork and flexibility skills.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Education : Coursework/Training - Graduate of accredited school of Medical-Cardiac Ultrasound or Equivalent training

Experience : 2 years of experience.


  • RDMS or eligible.
  • Pediatric certification.
  • CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
