The Cancer Registrar:
·Analyzes, abstracts, and codes demographic, patient and cancer related information, treatment and staging from the medical records on all cancer cases seen and or diagnoses at designated facility.
·Identifies eligibility of cancer patients in the registry and obtains interesting cases from medical staff and pathologists.
·Prepares agenda for conference and assures that pathology and radiology material for conferences is available.
·Performs other duties as assigned.
·CTR (Cancer Registrar) Certification
·High School with 2 years of Cancer Services and 2 years of Registration experience
·1 year of Oncology related experience is acceptable with an Associate's degree
