Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital’s, the flagship hospital for Cottage Health, Interventional Radiology Team is currently in search of an experienced Special Procedures Coordinator to join our team. The incumbent will operate radiographic and other related equipment to assists physicians in the completion diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures for patients of all ages
The ideal candidate will have through knowledge IR equipment strong knowledge in anatomy and applicable vasculature for interventional procedures, the ability to quickly prepare for procedures by accessing images as appropriate, a strong knowledge in PACS, other computer systems and fluoroscopy, and a robust knowledge of lab values and common drugs used during interventional procedures, and a strong ability to perform fluoroscopy checks. The preferred candidates also would have a thirst for knowledge in learning, new equipment, procedures and practices to maintain competencies in the department and role.
Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
Valid California Radiologic Technologist certification. Valid California Fluoroscopy certification. Basic Life Support certification. Preference for ARRT registered in Interventional Radiology and Advanced Life Support certification.
Ability to use specialized radiology and other health care equipment.
Preference for two years performing interventional and neurointerventional radiology exams in a complex hospital environment similar to Cottage Hospital.
