Job Description

  • JOB SUMMARY
    • The chief objective of this position:

      • Accountable for the design and execution of supply and demand planning and customer forecasting systems; and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements. Assists with expenses and revenue budgets as applicable and meets customer service objectives. Ensures and maintains compliance with all legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
    • Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:

      • Current certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
      • Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy
    • Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:

      • Current certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
      • Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy
    • Experience REQUIRED:

      • Minimum of three (3) years of previous work experience as a Pharmacy Tech
    • Experience PREFERRED

      • Four (4) or more years of previous work experience as a Pharmacy Technician
      • Three (3) to five (5) years of buying/purchasing and inventory management experience
      • Previous experience working with universally accepted inventory management concepts and applicable Standard Operating Processes and working with pharmacy information systems and automation utilized for inventory management
      • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Education/training PREFERRED:

      • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field
