Position Summary / Career Interest:

JOB SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Data Analysis Coordinator is responsible for data analysis that supports the business operations of the Pharmacy department. Assists with the development of models to conduct detailed analyses of pharmacy data.

Position Description:

  • Responsible for data analysis that supports the business operations of the Pharmacy department.

  • Assist with the development of models to conduct detailed analyses of pharmacy data.

  • Oversee and support functions related to pharmacy data analysis utilizing computer-based and performance improvement systems.

  • Prepare monthly reports and analyzes cost trends. Utilizing information systems, complies and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed.

  • Identify and realize process improvement opportunities through retrospective, statistical and focused review of processes.

  • Prepare and analyze data and reports to track operational, clinical and performance improvement initiatives; maintain and report performance measures.

  • Collaborate with department leadership to identify priorities and projects.

  • Collaborate with departments to certify data integrity.

  • Perform diversion data analysis and automated decision support.

  • Conduct analysis and makes recommendations to Pharmacy leadership.

  • Analyze data and prepare reports on Pharmacy automated distributions systems and controlled substances.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics or related field. Degree can be substituted for experience on a year for year basis

  • 3-5 years data generation analysis

  • Microsoft Office, specifically advanced Excel functions, MS Access, & Visio

  • Ability to work autonomously, and in a team environment. Prefer individuals with advanced organizational and communicational skills

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred

  • Previous pharmacy experience

  • Ability to tabulate and visualize the data elements

  • Previous experience in creating visual representations of data
