Position Summary: Performs Screening and Diagnostic Mammograms, Wire Needle Localizations, Stereotactic Breast Biopsies, Galactograms, and Quality Assurance. Provides excellent patient care. Performs accurate documentation of patient medical records. Demonstrates excellent customer service and effective communication. GHS technologists are required to cover all sites as necessary.
Education: Minimum two-year Radiologic Technology program
ARRT(MAM) registry required or eligible (If eligible, must become ARRT(MAM) registered within one year of employment)
South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association certified
Special Skills: Radiation Safety, Anatomy and Positioning, Physics, Computer Skills, Medical Terminology, General Safety
American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be initially completed with the GHS Staff Development Office within 30 calendar days of hire date (exceptions to obtain certification from a provider other than the GHS Staff Development Office are approved by Staff development on a case by case basis). BLS Recertification is required every two years.
