The incumbent will prepare and perform CAT scan examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist. The position requires a thorough understanding of not only CAT scan responsibilities, but also an understanding of angiography and its specifics; i.e. catheters, film changes, etc. Must have a good understanding of what exams are to be done in order without delay in service as well as a good understanding of general radiology when required to participate in rotation throughout the department.
Certified, registry eligible, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current State of Maryland licensure. American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS/CPR certification.
Must have a minimum of one year experience as a CAT scan technologist in a hospital or similar setting. Knowledgeable of radiation safety required. Able to cover call-in CAT scan as assigned.
