Position Objective:
The Therapist – Program Coordinator- Oncology Rehab is responsible for the ongoing development of the program with the goal of ensuring the provision of high quality, cost-effective health care through expert clinical practice, consultation, clinical quality management, data management, staff development and mentoring. The coordinator will integrate, monitor and analyze all data relevant to oncology rehabilitation patients/survivors and provide a communication link among the interdisciplinary team. The coordinator will act as a representative of Comprehensive Oncology Services to the patients, their caregivers and support systems, referring physicians, and hospital staff. Evaluates patients, provides therapeutic intervention according to departmental standards. Assesses the appropriateness and effectiveness of services provided to patients, and documents same according to departmental standards and the special needs of patients.
