CERTIFIED DIABETES EDUCATOR(Job Number: 209619) Description   The Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) is a nurse or dietitian who has a minimum of 1000 hours of professional practice experience in diabetes self-management training, and has passed the Certification Examination for Diabetes Educators. The CDE will implement clinical and education programs, be responsible for quality improvement and research activates, and be an expert resource for both patients and providers. The CDE may also be responsible for the ADA Recognized Program process. This position is in the pediatric outpatient clinic working with pediatric Type I diabetes patients and their families; Pediatric experience preferred; bilingual in Spanish and English helpful This position is working 64 hours a pay period.
