Job Description

UOVUNIUSR0059406EXTERNALENUS Under the direct supervision of radiological technologists and/or nurses and in cooperation with all the members of the patient care teams within Radiology performs a wide range of customer service related duties environmental  patient care and supply functions to fully support patient care activities in the assigned patient care area of Radiology.

  • Assists technologists and nursing staff in direct/indirect patient care responsibilities including lifting/assisting patients onto and off of the examining table ensuring patient’s safety and comfort and ensuring efficient room turnover. 
  • Assists technologists and nurses in the collection of patient information relevant data    tracking of orders and images in the information systems.
  • Follows established standards to obtain patient supplies and maintain supply inventories.
  • Meets established standards for maintenance and control of equipment and for cleanliness of general service areas.
  • Exhibits a professional   courteous and positive demeanor at all times to the patients staff and patient’s family utilizing appropriate age specific standards and customer service. 
  • Attends and actively participates in ongoing training and retraining programs as required and as needed.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $15.99 - $24.78 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience: 6 months relevant experience
Licensure: American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required three months after hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and traveling, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, fumes, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
