Position Summary

Team Members in this position will reflect a commitment to the Vidant Health values Integrity, Compassion, Education, Accountability, Safety, and Teamwork and play a vital role in the experience our patients, families, and visitors have while in our facilities. As a central point of contract, they greet and assist all individuals who enter a Vidant Health facility, serve as a liaison between patients/families and members of the health care team, and work in partnership with all hospital departments to help ensure that everyone has an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities for COVID-19 screening will include:

Administer and read the temperature of individuals by utilizing approved devices according to manufacturer instructions and CDC guidelines. Screen individuals through the use of a health questionnaire and establish the screening lanes needed to maintain the 6ft social distancing guidelines between lanes and individuals waiting to be screened. Report cases of both positive and negative screening results according to established protocols while maintaining confidentiality.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school or equivalent is required.
  • 3 months to 1 year experience as a receptionist, switchboard, hotel/motel, direct customer/public service or other guest relations experience is required.

Other Information

  • Hours may vary, 8 and 12 hour rotating shifts includes every other weekend and some holidays.
