POSITION SUMMARY

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is the flagship hospital for Cottage Health. The Cardiac Cath Lab Team is currently in search of an experienced Special Procedures Tech to join our team. The incumbent will operate radiographic and other related equipment to assists physicians in the completion diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures for patients of all ages

The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of Cardiac Cath Lab equipment, the ability to quickly prepare for procedures by accessing images as appropriate, a strong knowledge in PACS, other computer systems and fluoroscopy, and a strong ability to perform fluoroscopy checks. The preferred candidates also would have a thirst for knowledge in learning, new equipment, procedures and practices to maintain competencies in the department and role.


QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program.

Valid California Radiologic Technologist certification. Valid California Fluoroscopy certification. Basic Life Support certification. Preference for ARRT registered in Interventional Radiology and Advanced Life Support certification.

Ability to use specialized radiology and other health care equipment.

Preference for two years performing radiology exams in a cardiac cath lab environment.
