Assists in the implementation of the delivery of health care services. Assists fellow employees in providing the highest quality personalized patient care and maintains a positive work relationship with the health care team. The employee should demonstrate the ability to provide care and service with individuals of all assigned age groups
Required - High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred - Bachelor's degree in Ophthalmic Medical Technology
Required - 3 years experience or Associate’s degree in Ophthalmic Assisting.
Experience with operating a computer and/or mainframe terminal and multi-line telephone.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Experience with ophthalmology examinations in a high patient volume department.
Experience in transcribing all information accurately, neatly and clearly.
Experience working to prescribed clinic and ophthalmic standards.
Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Preferred - Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) through JCAHPO
