DescriptionIn this role you will provide medical nutrition therapy to patients in specialized areas such as cardiology, med/surgery, GI, renal, organ transplant, liver disease, neurology, head/neck, oncology, and critical care; from NICU, pediatrics, to adult and geriatric. Responsibilities include: * Assessment, documentation, implementation, monitoring and reassessment of patients' care plan. * Conduct patient education, malnutrition/NFPE. * Communicate with and works as a team member, interacting with dietetic technicians, food service personnel, nurses,physicians, patients and other health care team members. * Charts in EPIC. This is a "as needed" position that fills in when staff is out of the office at the Ronald Reagan Medical Center and Santa Monica Hospital. Salary Range: $44.64-52.07 Hourly QualificationsRequired: * Certification as Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration. * At least one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian. * Excellent computer and customer service skills. * Strong knowledge in malnutrition diagnosing and NPFE. * Availability to work weekends and holidays. * Ability to travel within Health System, including Santa Monica and Westwood. Preferred: * Experience working in an academic setting.
