ResponsibilitiesAs the Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will perform a
wide variety of technical procedures in Microbiology. Other duties include
method development-modification-parallel testing, collaboration on or
independent preparation of abstracts or manuscripts, maintenance repair of
laboratory instruments, sample processing, reagent preparation, and data entry.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays and other shifts as needed.
Qualifications•A current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License
•Clinical and Technical knowledge: Mycobacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology and Microbiologic techniques, Molecular methods, Reference ranges, Test methodologies, Instrument operation and maintenance, CAP and other regulatory requirements
•Must have knowledge of disease states associated with the tests performed in the area in order to be able to inform physicians on significance of test results
•Able to perform testing, documentation, interpretation, and preparation of written reports for ongoing research and development, method development projects.
•Able to work as a team member and maintain a positive, humanistic attitude.
•Two or more years of experience in Microbiology – PREFERRED
