In this role, you will be responsible for a range of functions that include the preparation and dispensing of drugs in the outpatient setting, maintenance and review of patient medication profiles, counseling patients on appropriate drug use, and reviewing medication orders and patients medical record. You will collaborate closely with other members of the health care team to help prevent inappropriate or misuse of medications. Adhering to departmental policies and procedures, you will deliver a wide range of specialty pharmacy clinical services (e.g., assisting with prior authorization, meds to beds, SAR, TAR processes as well as helping patients with financial assistance). QualificationsWe’re seeking a dedicated clinical professional with: Pharm D. degree and current CA Pharmacy license (required). Specialty pharmacy experience (highly desired). Meds to beds experience, (highly desired). Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills. Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations. Knowledge of Specialty drugs and disease states. Knowledge of state and federal regulations relating to the practice of pharmacy Ability to review and assess the appropriateness of prescriptions with respect to age specific, disease state specific considerations.  UCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
