Our Veteran Family Wellness Center connects veterans and their families to a wide variety of UCLA Health services focused on life-skills, health, recreation, education, prevention and wellness. As a Family Trainer, you will provide evidence-based, family-centered education and prevention services to parents, children, families and couples. You will: ·         Facilitate evidence-based and manualized family training programs, skills groups and workshops for veteran families ·         Complete and document intakes/orientations ·         Assist with program outreach within the veteran community ·         Oversee, track and monitor family participation in services ·         Attend training and model consultation sessions *May become career QualificationsWe’re seeking a passionate, customer-focused professional with: ·         Master’s degree or PhD in psychology or a related field ·         Previous experience in family and/or child services ·         Background working with military populations ·         Experience working with children, teens and adults ·         Ability to keep accurate and timely records ·         Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills ·         Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a collaborative team ·         Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to an automobile ·         Computer proficiency with MS Office UCLA Health is a world-renowned health system with four award-winning hospitals and dozens of primary care practices, specialty practices, urgent care centers and other ancillary locations throughout metro Los Angeles as well as the David Geffen School of Medicine.
