As a Pharmacy Purchasing Manager, you will oversee the procurement and distribution of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and related products. This involves managing purchasing, contract administration, and inventory control processes as well as relationships with the primary wholesaler and other vendors. You will provide oversight while ensuring compliance with the purchasing aspects of the 340B Drug Pricing Program including management of split billing software. You will also handle drug shortages oversight/implementation and execution/monitoring of pharmacy cost savings initiatives. This position will be responsible for supervising pharmacy buyers, pharmacy storeroom personnel and ensuring that receiving/distribution complies with all relevant federal, state, university and departmental guidelines. Qualifications We’re seeking a strong leader with a Pharm.D., a current California Pharmacist license and: Four years of pharmacist experience in a similar healthcare system Knowledge of purchasing practices (including determination of needs, selection of items, bid letting and stores management) sufficient to develop and maintain procedures and purchasing programs Ability to work independently and with frequent interruptions Exceptional communication, interpersonal, prioritizing and organizational skills Knowledge of state, federal and University of California regulations governing the pharmacy practice UCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
