Position Objective:
The objective of this position is to assemble and sterilize all instruments, instrument trays, utensils, and linen packs. Perform distribution functions as it relates to case carts and sterile instrumentation.
Must be able to perform all Sterile Processing functions.The position requires rotating weekend and on-call requirements.A strict dress code and professional appearance including wearing surgical scrubs are required.

Educational/Experience Requirements:
Required Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Minimum Experience: Completion of a Central Sterile Processing program through an accredited institution.
Two years of experience as a sterile processing technician, (post course completion).
Required License/Certifications:
Required License / Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or CBSPD certification upon hire.
Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands:
There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
Physical Demands –
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must be able to frequently lift to 35 lbs. stoop, bend, pull, and place and retrieve material.

Our department is AACVPR-certified (American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation), and recognized as a “Best Practice” facility for our integration of EMR technology. Cardiac Rehab employs a multidisciplinary team of experts, including ACSM-certified Exercise Physiologists. All team members are BLS and ACLS trained and certified.
There is tremendous opportunity for cross-training and growth within our CAP (College of American Pathologists) and AABB (American Association of Blood Banks) accredited laboratory. Our multidisciplinary team includes Phlebotomists, Medical Technologists, Histotechs, Pathologist Assistants and Medical Laboratory Technicians. Together, we are driving LEAN principles and practices throughout the department, working toward optimal efficiency and effectiveness across all of our facilities and draw sites.
Our Neurodiagnostics area continues to evolve with the changing needs of our community. We are adding new equipment and otherwise working to improve the diagnosis and treatment of seizures, dementia and other brain conditions. We primarily hire EEG Technologists with proven experience. Registered technologists are preferred.

Our Radiology team is comprised of professionals at all levels of expertise, from Radiology Escorts to senior-level Radiologic Technologists. Together, we are poised at the leading edge of diagnostic and imaging science, with access to the most advanced MRI, CAT scan, 3D mammography, Ultrasound, PET/CT and nuclear medicine equipment. Our Radiology team was also one of the first in the region to utilize DaTscan to identify and confirm the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.

Rehab Technologies
The Outpatient Health Sciences Pavilion on our main campus is fully equipped with ceiling lifts, Lite Gait, Alter G treadmill, Bioness UE/LE, Elite Seats, cold therapy laser and BTE.
We hire Registered Respiratory Therapists who want to work as part of a large, diverse and self-scheduling team. We are an evidence-based practice, where Therapists work independently with physicians using Respiratory Therapy-Driven protocols. You can have opportunities to participate in bronchoscopy assisting, learn about advanced modes of ventilation (including APRV and NAVA), support a busy Level III NICU, and train for clinical and leadership advancement in a career ladder or as Pulmonary Disease Navigator. Specialized clinical education focused on point-of-care testing and safety is available, along with annual education days and bedside scientist grants.
