In addition to acute care, our services include rehabilitation, oncology and outpatient clinics.

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of patient care. He/She uses purposeful activity or interventions to promote health and achieve functional outcomes by developing, improving and restoring the highest level of independence of any individual who is limited by a physical injury or illness, a developmental or learning disability or an adverse environmental condition. The Therapist is responsible for the teaching, delegating to or supervising other personnel in implementing the treatment regimen. The Therapist is directly accountable to the manager for the quality of patient care delivered. He/She modifies and delivers care that is specific to the age, growth, and development of patients according to departmental scope of services.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
  • Current valid licensure or provisionally licensed by the State of NC Board of Occupational Therapy
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and patients of varied backgrounds
  • Additional training/certification as deemed necessary to practice in a specialty area as dictated by patients ages or conditions and in specialty areas as dictated by the AOTA

Preferred

  • Occupational Therapist with Lymphedema experience or certification

Other Information

  • Full Time (40 hours a week)
  • Will work primarily in Outpatient with opportunities to work Acute Care, as needed
