Responsible for assessing the developmental level and needs of children and families and provide interventions appropriately. Works collaboratively with families and health care providers with a focus on decreasing anxiety, providing pain management techniques, providing psychosocial-emotional support, promoting effective coping, preparing children for medical procedures and encouraging family centered care.
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree with an educational emphasis on human growth and development or child life.
Must have Child Life Professional Certification within one year from date of hire.
Experience working with pediatric patients and their families in healthcare setting.
Must possess communicate skills, group work techniques, and organization ability. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
