The Surgical Technician II is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.

Required Education or Training:
Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program;
Or completion of a military Surgical Technologist Program;
Or hospital based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience

Required Skills:
Sterile technique
Instrumentation
Equipment
Sterile field set-up

Prefferred Skills: Strong Sterile Processing

Preferred: NBSTSA or NCCT.
