The St. Anthony's Hospital Triathlon Medical Director is tasked with overseeing the medical care team and other athlete and spectator first aid needs. The Medical Director recruits providers to serve on the medical care team and writes protocols and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the coordination of basic and advanced life support services with St. Petersburg Fire Rescue and the Emergency Medical Services provider.
  • Collaborates with the Triathlon Manager to ensure adequate levels of supplies, equipment, and facilities are available for the medical care team.
  • Participates with the Manager and Director in planning meetings with the City of St. Petersburg and post-race debriefing sessions.Required Licensure includes Florida Medical License and 5 years experience in Sports Medicine. Preferred specialty certification: Sports Medicine.
