The Respiratory Care Practitioner is a clinical professional who services patients in their home/contracted facility by providing either clinical respiratory services or equipment management services on a scheduled visit/appointment or through on-call notification.
Responsibilities:
• Completing day to day orders called into the Respiratory Therapy Department and follow up on visits for apnea monitor and or ventilator patients, in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Education of patient and caregivers regarding set up, use, maintenance and safety of respiratory therapy equipment in the home.
• Performs diagnostic testing on behalf of the physician.
• Communication with the patient's physician regarding clarification of orders or the patient's response to care may be required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
