The Surgical Technician I is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.

Required Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent;
Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program

Required Skills:
Sterile technique
Instrumentation
Equipment
Sterile field set-up

This position is cross trained to unit secretary role as well.
