223186)BayCare is currently in search of our newest Licensed Counselor - Palliative Care who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. We are looking for an individual seeking a career opportunity with one of the largest employers within the Tampa Bay area.
The Licensed Counselor is a member of a collaborative practice model that includes patients, nurses, clinical resource coordinators, physicians, and other practitioners, caregivers, and the community.
Responsibilities:
- Functions within an interdisciplinary team to assist with patient care.
- Knowledgeable about disease, treatment, social and economic implications for individuals and families as it pertains to their age, stage of psychosocial development and discharge needs.
- Pragmatic in approaching End of Life and ethical issues.
- Possess a strong skill set to work in a high paced and challenging environment.
Required experience includes 6 month Internship in an acute care setting or 1 year social services in an acute health care setting.
Required education includes Masters in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Community Counseling.
