ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the total patient care in the ambulatory setting, recognizing normal and abnormal signs and symptoms and life threatening emergencies. Act as a staff person in the office, assisting in patient care, and maintaining high standards of care in the community offices. Travel to various ambulatory clinics and to provide patient care support. QualificationsKnowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and procedures Ability to take vital signs, administer medications, and obtain drug refills Knowledge of symptomatology of common and/or life threatening medical problems and assessing abnormal laboratory values Experience performing phlebotomy, CPR certification, injections, and other skills within scope of practice Ability to use a computerized patient care systems and proficiency with the Windows operating system Skill and knowledge to maintain current Medical Assistant Certification or diploma Must have the ability to travel to all Community Practices Network Offices throughout the Los Angeles area Days and hours may vary.
