Job Details Location: Watervliet, MI Department: Outpatient Therapies - Director Therapy Services LHW Status: Part time Shift: Day (United States of America) Hours: As Needed, Monday -Saturday Job Summary Perform support duties in the Rehabilitation Department including maintaining department cleanliness and order, performing clerical duties, setting up/cleaning up of selected treatments and assisting with treatments provided by licensed therapists, therapist assistants and athletic trainers under their direct supervision. • Promote Lakeland Regional Health Care System philosophy to ensure quality care. • Assist when a second person is needed to ensure patient and therapist safety, while licensed therapists, therapist assistants or athletic trainers perform treatment procedures such as exercise, functional activities and gait routines. • Assist in the setup and cleanup of selected treatment procedures under the direct supervision of licensed therapists, therapist assistants or athletic trainers. Treatment procedures may include hot and cold packs, ultrasound, whirlpool, electrical stimulation, traction, and other modalities or therapeutic procedures the therapist, therapist assistant or athletic trainer may be performing. • Maintain department order and safety by inspecting and disinfecting equipment according to infection control policy and procedures. Document these procedures on appropriate documentation forms, per infection control policy and procedures. • Perform clerical duties including answering phones, scheduling, copying, filing, faxing, processing bank bag, and other duties as needed. • Maintain department inventory of supplies, including ordering these supplies and re-stocking as needed. • Scan documents into Epic per department policy. • Maintain cleanliness and general organization of the department including but not limited to the following: equipment, linen, evaluation rooms, pool area and back office, gym, treatment and storage areas as applicable. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. May encounter stress with high volume and high demand expectations. Basic computer, data entry, typing, filing and organization skills required. • Abilities: Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, various locations, sometimes on short notice. • Environmental Conditions: Potential exposure to fumes, dust, gases, and odors. Frequent changes in temperature may occur. Possibility of exposure to communicable diseases.
