VCU Health System's Dalton Oncology Clinic is seeking a full time Certified Medical Assistant that will provide direct, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the physician.
Responsibilities
Functions under direction of a licensed independent practitioner, manager and/or RN in providing patient care, emotional support, and .problem solving; all in accordance with hospital, nursing and unit policy/procedure.
Requires prior approval or guidance from supervisor: time/schedule changes; legal issues; directed care which deviates from standard; and identify educational resources to meet developmental needs.
Certified Medical Assistants work all three shifts, weekends and holidays. Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your specific Nurse Manager/Practice Manager.
Schedules, including requirements of shift rotations and hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet clinic requirements and/or as needed.
Qualifications
Required
