Lab Medical Assistant II - Client Services - Oldsmar(Job Number: 211986) Description   This is an office based customer service position within the Outreach Lab Client Services area. The responsibilities include providing lab related information and  customer service over the phone with lab clients and providers, as well as data entry into the computer system.  Good phone skills and computer skills are highly preferred. Knowledge of laboratory processes and testing is required. This position DOES NOT include phlebotomy or specimen processing. The Lab Medical Assistant II is responsible for collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing, communications with nursing regarding patient specimens, referring specimens to outside laboratories, interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests, performance of phlebotomy procedures and performs other duties as assigned.
