Supervisor-Computed Tomography

Full-Time AM Associates Degree ARRT CRT 3-5 years

Job Summary: This position will support LLUMC's strategic plan and the organization's mission to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ, while embracing the core values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Wholeness. The Supervisor- Computed Tomography (CT) works under minimal supervision and exercises discretion and independent judgment in handling personnel issues including equipment malfunctions, scheduling and staffing. Supervises CT Specialists to ensure high level of service, productivity and equality. Recommends promotions, discipline and other administrative actions. Enforces LLUMC safety regulations, Policies and Procedures and State and Federal regulations. Provides instructions to Imaging Specialists and Students in the use of equipment, maintenance and QC programs. Acts as a Liaison between internal and external customers to resolve any customer satisfaction issues. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications: Knowledge with safety regulations, state and federal regulations required. Understanding of CT protocols, department and hospital policies and procedures. Must be able to expertly operate all CT equipment in all locations. Must have excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients of all ages, physicians and co-workers. Must posses the ability to communicate effectively about complex matters. Has the ability to apply critical thinking skills. Must be able to objectively intercede when there are inter-personnel behavior conflicts. Good decision making skills.Associate's Degree in Radiology Sciences from an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited program required. Minimum three years of experience in Computed Tomography required. Minimum two years lead or supervisor experience preferred. Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) license and Computed Tomography ARRT advanced license required.
